Stop Bollards Repair with Belzona In this video we demonstrate an application of stop bollards base repair and sealing. These stop bollards are located in front of a busy multi-use arena with heavy foot traffic. The area around the base of the bollards got damaged and needed a repair and further protection. The application was carried out by Industrial Repair Technology (IRT) team out of Kansas City, MO, USA. Materials Used: Belzona 4111 (Magma-Quartz) was used to fill in the cracks and voids around the base of the bollards. Belzona 4111 is an epoxy repair composite for the repair and protection of concrete surfaces and structures. Belzona 5231 (SG Laminate) was used as a base coat. Belzona 5231 is a 2-part epoxy coating for floor protection. Belzona 5233 was used as a top coat to encapsulate the aggregate and to provide a UV stable protection. Belzona 5233 is a 2-part, waterborne, solvent-free UV stable floor protective coating. An aggregate was used to provide slip-resistance. How-to Guide: 1. The surface around the bollards was cleaned and prepared for the application of the Belzona system. 2. Belzona 4111 was mixed and applied to fill in the cracks and voids at the base and around the bollards. 3. Belzona 5231 was applied as a base coat to the entire surface around the bollards. 4. Aggregate was hand broadcast to rejection to the wet Belzona 5231. 5. Once the system cured, the excess aggregate was vacuumed. 6. Belzona 5233 was applied as a top coat to encapsulate the aggregate and provide a UV stable coating.
