In this simple demonstration video, you will see how a combination of Belzona 5231 and Belzona 5233 can be used to create a highly durable, slip resistant system for external flooring areas which will not deteriorate on exposure to UV light. Materials Used: To create a highly durable, slip resistant and UV stable flooring surface we used Belzona 5231 (SG Laminate) as primer, Belzona 9232 a slip resistant color quartz and Belzona 5233 as a top coat. How-To Guide: Step 1: Ensure proper surface preparation is achieved by removing all oil, grease, dust and any other surface contaminants Step 2: Thoroughly mix Belzona 5231 Base and Solidifier as per the manufacturer’s instructions. Step 3: Belzona 5231 is used as a primer floor coat. Evenly apply by roller at 10 mils thickness to provide proper adhesion of the aggregate. Step 4: Spread Belzona 9232 aggregate while Belzona 5231 is still wet Step 5: Once Belzona 5231 has cured, remove the excess of Belzona 9232 by vacuuming or blowing *The extra aggregate can be saved and reused Step 6: Thoroughly mix Belzona 5233 Base and Solidifier as per the manufacturer’s instructions. Step 7: Belzona 5233 can be applied by roller or spray This simple to apply system can be completed with minimum downtime and provides excellent UV resistance and outstanding mechanical strength along with an aesthetically pleasing finish.
