The following video will show the procedure to apply Belzona 4181 on a damaged concrete block. Belzona 4181 (AHR Magma-Quartz) is an acid and heat resistant system for the repair and protection of concrete, stone and other rigid substrates subject to impact, abrasion and chemical attack. Belzona 4181 is ideally suited for horizontal surfaces and may be applied on vertical surfaces up to 6mm (0.25in) thickness. This versatile material provides outstanding adhesion and mechanical strength at elevated temperatures. It also possesses excellent chemical resistance, particularly to inorganic acids. Belzona 4181 is a solvent-free repair composite which, when mixed, forms a material of trowelable consistency to rebuild damaged surfaces. First make sure the damaged concrete is dry and clean. Belzona 4181 can be applied using two conditioners depending on the application requirements. For chemical environments use Belzona 4911, and for areas involving high temperatures use Belzona 4981. If you are unsure, please consult your nearest authorized distributor. In this video we are going to explain the procedure for chemical environments, this application will utilize Belzona 4911 conditioner. Mix Belzona 4911 conditioner base and solidifier thoroughly as a whole or two parts base and one-part solidifier by volume for partial mixes. Using a brush apply the conditioner over the application area as per Belzona 4181’s IFU. Application of Belzona 4181 can commence immediately over the conditioned area and should be applied in a maximum of 6 hours. Take out all the components from the 4181 bucket, base solidifier, and aggregate. Pour the base and solidifier into the bucket and mix thoroughly with a power tool. Slowly add the aggregate to the bucket and continue mixing until you have a dry mortar like product ready to be applied. Apply the 4181 using a hand float tool to the application area and smooth and flatten the product with the float. Allow the product to cure as per the IFU before subjecting to service. The 4181 application is now complete
