In this video, we demonstrate a #pumprestoration application with Belzona 1111 and Belzona 1381. The application was carried out by Belzona Florida - Belzona Authorised Distributor in Florida, USA. This pump was heavily corroded due to handling process water. The #corrosion was compromising the integrity of the pump and needed to be urgently repaired or event replaced. Replacement of the pump with a new pump would have incurred high costs. And, the new pump would have still required #corrosionprotection from future damage. Not only the solution presented by Belzona Florida came at one-fifth of the cost of purchasing a new pump, but it also offered durability and protection from future corrosion damage. Heavily damaged pumps can be restored to their original profile by using Belzona cold-curing metal rebuild systems. Bezona epoxy coatings reduce further deterioration, increasing pump efficiency and reducing frequent maintenance costs. In this repair, we used Belzona 1111 for the restoration of the pump's internal parts to its original profile, and, Belzona 1381 for the erosion-corrosion protection of the pump. The pump was pressure washed to remove old coating and loose corroded parts. 2. Then, the surface of the pump was blasted using abrasive media to prepare the substrate for optimal adhesion. 3. Belzona 1111 was mixed and applied to the parts of the pump that needed to be rebuilt. 4. Once Belzona 1111 completely cured, Belzona 1381 was mixed and applied to all internal parts of the pump as a two-coat system. 5. The application was completed by a full inspection of the coating.
